Hi Jan,

“Sẽ về nhà” means "will go home", so it's understood that you are at some other places and you will go home (For example: You are out at a bar drinking with your friends, they ask when you will go after the bar closed, you would say "Tôi sẽ về nhà"- I will be going home). "Sẽ trở về nhà” means "will come back home/ will return home" as in you were home earlier, you went out and you will come back home later. (For example: You are at home and telling your sister that you will be going to a bar tonight with your friends, when she asks what you will do afterward, you can say "Anh sẽ trở về nhà"- I will just come home).

" trở" alone means nothing in this phrase, while " trở về" means "return". Is it clear to you? Please let us know if you have further questions for us!

Thank you!

Khanh.
