Xin chào! Tôi ăn được đồ ăn Việt Nam. Tôi thích đồ ăn Việt Nam, nó rất ngon. Tôi yêu cà ri đậu hũ. Nhưng tôi không thích đồ ăn Trung Quốc.

In addition to the Vietnamese for that sentence, the English recording in that sentence is also clearly wrong.

It doesn't appear that the audio for the expansion sentence that I pointed out has in fact been corrected. It's still the same sentence which means "I live in New York."

Hi Clayton,

Thank you for your question.

From this lesson, you learned that "Can you eat Vietnamese food?" is translated as "Bạn có ăn được đồ ăn Việt Nam không?"

To ask "Can you eat Chinese food?", follow the same structure and only replace the word "Việt Nam" with the translation of the word "Chinese". The rest of the question remains unchanged.

The Vietnamese translation of the word "Chinese" is "Trung Quốc"

So the correct question is "Bạn có ăn được đồ ăn Trung Quốc không?"

You can also use the same structure to ask about food from other countries.

What you need to know are the names of different countries in Vietnamese and this is a great reference:

Don't hesitate to let us know your feedbacks on the lesson in the above link, too.

Cheers,

Giang
