Hello Sammie,

Thank you for your comment.

Your sentence is correct. Besides, we have other expressions that you can also use as follows:

Tôi cao một trăm sáu mươi lăm xăng ti mét (165 cm) = Tôi cao một mét sáu mươi lăm (1m65)

Please let us know if you have further question.

Best regards,

Nguyet Nguyen

Chào Giang,

I don't really think I'm that tall, but thank you for making me feel like it  I am above the average height for men in the US but I wish I was a little bit taller.

There's no need to be ashamed of your height, especially with me. My love is only about 157 cm tall...I used to have fun picking her up

Thanks for pointing out the tone mark. the Vietnamese keyboard I use in Google gives a selection of tone marks for the words you type...I must have picked the wrong one without noticing because I had it correct in my notes  And thank you so much for teaching me the faster way to say my height! I was having trouble switching between all the tones when trying to say it, but your way is much easier to say

Cảm ơn nhiều lắm,

Nick

Chào Nick,

Oh, you are so tall. I don't want to reveal my height because I'm so small :sob:

Your sentence is fine. There is only one mistake in the tone mark: "xăng ti mét" (not "xáng")

Anyway, the common way to talk about height in Vietnamese is: "Tôi cao một mét bảy mươi bảy" (I am 1.77 meters tall)

In conversation, many people just say: "Tôi cao mét bảy bảy." (without "một")

Cheers,

Giang

Xin chào,

Tôi cao một trăm bảy mươi bảy xáng ti mét (I'm 177 centimeters tall). We don't typically measure height in centimeters in the US, but I looked up the conversion :smile:

Bạn cao bao nhiêu?

Chào,

Nick
