Xin chào các bạn. Mình là Linh.
Rất vui được gặp lại các bạn hôm nay.
Hi, everyone. My name is Linh and welcome back to VietnamesePod101.com, the fastest, easiest, and most fun way to learn Vietnamese.
In this video today, I'm going to show you some must-know Vietnamese business English expressions for the presentation.
So I think it's very helpful for office workers, especially people who always have to prepare for presentation,
especially foreigners when they come to Vietnam and they work with Vietnamese workers.
So now let's just start it.
The first one and also the most important thing is I think everybody has to know is how to say hello in Vietnamese.
So for business English or for formal language, usually you don't have to use two different words or two different ways.
You can just simply say
Xin chào các bạn.
Xin chào các bạn.
Just like when I start my videos all the time.
So you can, if you want to be extremely formal or if you are like the host on the television
then you can say
Xin chào quý vị và các bạn.
Xin chào quý vị và các bạn.
But for companies or for the environment that you are pretty familiar then you can just simply say Xin chào các bạn.
Next one is how to introduce yourself in front of the people in the meeting.
So you can say
Tôi tên là…
Tôi tên là…
Tôi tên là…
So Tôi tên là… means “My name is…” or “I am…” right? And it's very very polite already.
So Tôi tên là Linh or you can use your full name.
You can introduce your full name.
Tôi tên là Đặng Phương Linh.
Next one is you have to introduce where you are from.
So you can use, you can say both “My name is Linh” and “I'm from..” for example “marketing department.”
In the full sentence you can say
Tôi tên là Đặng Phương Linh. Tôi đến từ phòng marketing.
Tôi tên là Đặng Phương Linh. Tôi đến từ phòng marketing.
Something similar to today I'd like to introduce about or today I'd like to talk about.
Then you can say Hôm nay tôi xin trình bày về…
Or instead of using trình bày you can say nói: Hôm nay tôi xin nói về…
Or Hôm nay tôi xin chia sẻ về…
“I'd like to share” or “I'd like to talk about something today.”
So in full sentence:
Hôm nay tôi xin trình bày về cách thuyết trình trong tiếng Việt.
Hôm nay tôi xin trình bày về cách thuyết trình trong tiếng Việt.
But this one is very formal so I would only say “Today I'd like to talk about how to present in Vietnamese.”
“Today I would like to talk about how to do presentation in Vietnamese” that is very formal.
Next one is linking words which I think very very important too in English.
So people can either catch up or follow you.
So also like in English we have first.
In Vietnamese you can say đầu tiên, đầu tiên,đầu tiên means first.
Thứ hai, thứ hai, thứ hai.
This one means “secondly” but it also means “Monday”.
Thứ ba, thứ ba, thứ ba means “third”.
But it also means “Tuesday”.
You also can use sau đó, sau đó means after that.
Sau đó.
Or you can use tiếp theo, tiếp theo, tiếp theo means next or yeah next.
So for these linking words you can use to introduce the agenda of the meeting.
Xin chào các bạn, hôm nay tôi xin trình bày về cách thuyết trình trong tiếng Việt.
Đầu tiên chúng ta sẽ nói về 1245…
Tiếp theo chúng ta sẽ nói về 1245…
Sau đó chúng ta sẽ nói về 1245...
Và cuối cùng, cuối cùng means “finally” or “in the end”.
Cuối cùng chúng ta sẽ nói về 1245.
After introducing the agenda I think you can go to the point which I hope you can speak fluently in Vietnamese. Alright?
So after introducing your topic, or after presenting your topic, you can finally ask people
Các bạn có câu hỏi gì không?
Các bạn có câu hỏi gì không?
Các bạn có câu hỏi gì không?
It literally means “You do have any questions?”
So that means “Do you have any questions”, right?
But the sentence structure in Vietnamese would be a little bit different to English.
Các bạn có câu hỏi gì không?
To ask if people have any questions or any feedback for your presentation.
Finally, I think you should introduce your contact a little bit.
So people would know how to touch you, how to contact you,
how to email or call you after your presentation
if they have any questions or any further feedback, alright?
So you can use
Các bạn có thể liên lạc với tôi qua số điện thoại hoặc email.
Các bạn có thể liên lạc với tôi qua số điện thoại hoặc email.
Các bạn có thể liên lạc với tôi qua số điện thoại hoặc email.
and then you put your telephone number and your email address.
Alright, so almost finished.
Last one, I think you should say
Xin cảm ơn và hẹn gặp lại.
Xin cảm ơn và hẹn gặp lại.
It means “Thank you very much and see you soon” or “see you again”.
Usually in my Vietnamese videos, I would say
Xin chào và hẹn gặp lại.
That means “Bye and see you soon” or “Bye and see you again.”
So after presenting, I think you should say
“Thank you and see you again or see you next time.”
So, xin cảm ơn và hẹn gặp lại.
But for me, it will be
Xin chào và hẹn gặp lại.
Okay, so it's done for the lesson today.
I hope that it's helpful for you.
And I'm not very sure if I can help you in any other topics
