When it comes to giving presentations, a lot of people struggle with that
and find it very difficult to use the appropriate language
or to find suitable sentences to connect the ideas
and to successfully present what you think or your opinions.
In this situation, I find it very easy because I realized that the more simple it is, the easier.
Especially in Vietnamese, today I'm going to share with you some tips or some linking words
or how to organize your ideas so that it's gonna be easier for you when giving presentations.
Hello everyone, my name is Linh.
Welcome back to vietnamesepod101.com, the fastest, easiest and most fun way to learn Vietnamese.
And let's get started.
No matter how good you are in Vietnamese, you can always start the presentation with
Đầu tiên tôi xin trình bày về.
That means first I'd like to talk about or I would like to talk about.
Trình bày literally means present.
So first if you want to talk about the agenda, you can say
Đầu tiên tôi xin trình bày về nội dung của buổi hôm nay.
Nội dung is like the content and it also means the agenda of the presentation today.
If you want to talk about the next idea after the first one or the following ideas, you
can say
Tiếp theo tôi xin trình bày về.
Next I'd like to talk about another useful word that you can use which is phân tích.
Phân tích means analyzing, to analyze.
Tiếp theo tôi xin phân tích về điểm mạnh, điểm yếu của dự án.
Điểm mạnh, điểm yếu means strengths and weaknesses.
Tiếp theo tôi xin phân tích về điểm mạnh, điểm yếu của dự án.
That means next I'd like to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the project.
Tiếp theo tôi xin phân tích về điểm mạnh, điểm yếu của dự án.
So instead of using trình bày to present, we can also use phân tích to analyze and
chia sẻ to share.
To discuss we use cháo đổi, cháo đổi, cháo đổi, cháo đổi to discuss.
Yeah, so those are like four common words that we use a lot in presentations.
Another point that you probably will mention in your presentations is the reasons of something,
right?
So in this situation, we will use
Tiếp theo tôi xin phân tích nguyên nhân.
So this is like a collocation in Vietnamese.
Instead of using like to present the reasons, we say to analyze the reasons.
Phân tích nguyên nhân.
That means to analyze it.
And for example, if you haven't had the reasons yet and you'd like to collect everyone's
ideas, you can say
Cháo đổi nguyên nhân.
So that means to discuss the reasons of this project.
Cháo đổi nguyên nhân.
Tiếp theo tôi xin phân tích nguyên nhân của dự án.
Or Tiếp theo tôi xin cháo đổi nguyên nhân của dự án.
Another way to mention the reasons of this problem, we can also say
Nguyên nhân của việc này là
The reasons of this is
Nguyên nhân của việc này là
So after talking about the reasons, we can mention some solutions, right?
In this situation, we say
Phương án của vấn đề này là
Phương án của vấn đề này là
That means the solution for this issue or for this problem is
Phương án của vấn đề này là
For example, in one sentence, we can say
Phương án của vấn đề này là
Cháo đổi với những phòng ban liên quan
The solution for this issue is to discuss with relevant departments.
So another way to say the reason of this issue is
In Vietnamese, we can also say
Lý do vì sao mà
The reason why is something
The reason why the weather is getting hot is
For example, we say
Lý do vì sao mà thời tiết ngày càng nóng lên
The reason why the weather or the climate is getting hot
Okay, so after talking about some problems, some discussion
Or like having some reasons and solutions
Usually we'll have a Q&A, right?
So in this situation, we can say
Tiếp theo là phần Q&A
That means
Next is Q&A part
Tiếp theo là phần Q&A
A sentence in this situation that you can use is
Các anh chị có thể đặt câu hỏi nếu có phần nào chưa rõ?
Please give me questions if there is anything that you're not clear about
Các anh chị có thể đặt câu hỏi nếu có phần nào chưa rõ?
Right, so when you're about to finish the presentation
So you can usually say something to finish or to wrap up, right?
In this situation, we say
Cảm ơn các anh chị đã tham gia buổi hôm nay
Cảm ơn các anh chị đã tham gia buổi hôm nay
Okay, so these are some very common and simple ways to give a presentation
I know that there will be a lot of advanced vocabulary
And it's not gonna be easy to present 100% in Vietnamese
However, these sentences you actually can use in a daily basis
Or when you speak to your friends and your colleagues
Because even though they sound formal, but it's not too formal, okay?
And basically in Vietnamese, we don't really distinguish between formal and informal language a lot
Except in some specific professions or like some very formal situations
Like for example, in government office or something like that
So if you're not going to have a presentation anytime soon
Please practice it at home and try to introduce about yourself
Or try to introduce something about your background or your work experience or something
So when it comes to the presentation, you'll be ready
Thank you so much for watching the video today guys
