Cultural Insight
Eric: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Hoang Anh: When you refuse an invite, you may not want to let the other person down with a straight-forward blunt refusal. One way to soften your refusal is to suggest a possibility to meet on another day. In this case, you can say: Hẹn anh lúc khác nhé. which means “I"ll meet you another time.” Replace Anh with chị if you are talking to a woman.

Eric: And that’s all for this lesson. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes, and we’ll see you in the next lesson!
Hoang Anh: Tạm biệt.
