Chào Daniel,

“Tôi khoẻ” is correct and sounds more polite than just “khoẻ” only. Subject is a very important part in Vietnamese sentences. Especially when you talk to older people, you need to use the subject. But if you just talk to your friends then “khoẻ” only is good.

I normally respond with ” Tôi khỏe” or just plain ” Khỏe.” I save all emails with extra vocabulary.
