Hi Sam,

Thank you for pointing it out so that our team can fix it as soon as possible.

In the meantime, I want to clarify so you don't have any difficulty going on with this lesson.

"Sounds good!" - when translated directly, it is "Nghe hay đấy!" in Vietnamese. However, in Vietnamese, we usually just say Tuyệt đấy, tuyệt (same as "Great!"), so that the team might have been flexible in translating.

"Order" - when used to order food in a restaurant, it should be "gọi món".

"Order" can be translated as "đặt hàng" when we "order or buy products/ goods online".

Once again, sorry for making it confusing. Our team will fix it asap.

Hope that you will enjoy the lesson.

Best regards,

Chi

Why is the vocabulary different from the conversation ? the Translation isn't the same for "Sounds good" "Order"

Chào Martin,

You can find the dialogue content (Vietnamese and English) and vocabulary for this test in the Lessons Note (Please click Download PDFs button. It's above the lesson's title). And you can practice them by using Lesson Materials and Review. Unfortunately, this series is focus on listening skill so we don't go in detail with the grammars. But I think you still can figure it out when have a look at the sentences in Vietnamese and the English translation.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Have a great day,

Huyền

I’ve been using Vietnamese pod 1 for about a year. I also use various other types of learning computer programs. The format of this particular lesson: Vietnamese Listening Comprehension for Absolute, Beginners #2, At a Vietnamese Restaurant, was very good! I haven’t seen this format before and I thought it was a good approach with pictures and a conversation with people in a restaurant. I’m looking forward to more of this type of lesson in other settings.
