Southern Vietnamese Survival Phrases lesson 20 - Internet café in Southern Vietnamese.
In today’s lesson, we’ll learn about a place crucial to your travels in this modern age: the Internet café. In Vietnamese, "Internet café" is Internet cà phê. There are many of them located throughout the cities, so finding one should be no problem!
However, for things to go smoothly once you’re inside, I’ll give you a guide through the internet café experience. In Vietnam, when you walk into the cafe, approach the reception desk and tell them what you’re there for. To say “I just want to browse the internet is Tôi muốn dùng in-tơ-nét.
Tôi muốn dùng in-tơ-nét.
Once again, Tôi muốn dùng in-tơ-nét.
The first two words, tôi muốn, tôi muốn, we know means “I want” or “I want to.”

This is followed by dùng, dùng, which means "use" or in this case “browse.”
Dùng falls gradually.

This phrase is finished with In-tơ-net, which is the Internet. You don't have to say it the Vietnamese way because it's an international word.
So all together, we have Tôi muốn dùng in-tơ-nét. Literally, this means "I want to browse the Internet."
After that, they will print out a tab that states the time you signed in. When you leave, simply bring that tab to the counter and they'll charge you for the hours you stayed. The price is usually about 4,000 dong to 10,000 dong per hour. The price is all inclusive for the time you stayed there. Some places have a discount for longer stays, like 3,000 dong for half an hour but only 5,000 dong for one hour, so be sure to look over the price list before making a decision.
Many Internet stands don't offer coffee of drinks, just the Internet. They can be found in every town, sometimes, in even the most remote areas in Vietnam.
Another critical question is "Does this store have Wi-Fi?" In Vietnamese, this is Ở đây có WIFI không?
Ở đây có WIFI không?
Let’s break this down by syllable: Ở đây có WIFI không?
Once again, Ở đây có WIFI không?
The first word two words, ở đây, means "here."
Once again, ở đây.

This is followed by có - không.
có - không
We know it’s the Vietnamese way for asking a yes-or-no question.
có - không
So all together we have, Ở đây có WIFI không?
Ở đây có WIFI không?
Literally, this means "is there Wi-Fi here?" or "Does this store have a Wi-Fi?"
