| Today’s phrase is related to the phrase “How much?” which in Vietnamese is Bao nhiêu? |

| Today’s phrase is used when you're at one the most exciting places in any country around the world, the market! |
| At the market, when you’re talking about prices, there’s another phrase that will come in very handy. That phrase is “Could you lower the price please?” In Vietnam, haggling is common practice. When you come to Vietnam, one of the most interesting and fun things to do is haggle at the market. So let’s take a look at this phrase, “Could you lower the price please?” is Xin hạ giá không? |

| Now, let’s hear it again, Xin hạ giá không? |
| Now, let’s break it down word by word. First, we have the word “please” xin. |

| At the hotel or at a restaurant, I normally wouldn’t haggle, but at the market or for regional fairs, feel free to do so. At the market, if they know you’re a foreigner, they may try to charge you more. So when you go to the market place, feel free to ask them, “How much is this?” Cái này bao nhiêu? Followed by “Could you lower the price?” Xin hạ giá không? |
