This is great. I would def upgrade when you get more southern Vietnamese lessons as I encounter Southern Vietnamese more often and would prefer to sound entirely Southern instead of mixing the diff pronounciations.

Hello,

Given that the vocabulary for the southern phrase is "rất nhiều" why are the vocabulary click selections listed "nhieu lam?" It seems that it would be most pertinent to help the student with letting them practice "rất nhiều" rather than the more northern phrase since that is the focus of this lesson.

Hi Holger,

"Cảm ơn rất nhiều" and "Cám ơn nhiều lắm" are pretty much the same. The only difference is the particles at the end of each phrase, while "rất nhiều" is more common in the Northern Vietnam, "nhiều lắm" is more common in the Southern Vietnam.

Hope you enjoyed the lesson and please let us know if you have more questions!

Xin hỏi, Huyền,

can I also use:

Cảm ơn rất nhiều?

equally to

Cám ơn nhiều lắm?

Or is there a difference?

Thank you.

Holger.

Hi Gerald!

The Survival Phrases Season 2 is all in Southern accent with 50 lessons. Thank you for your comment. That's a good idea.

Hope you enjoy those lessons!

Best,

Huyền.

Having just finished the first series of Survival Phrases and started on this one, I notice that the audio (rất nhiều) differs from the lesson notes (nhiều lắm). The first series of Survival Phrases was absolutely riddled with such inconsistencies, so I do hope this is not a portent of things to come in this series...

Hi Quoc,

That's right. For now, Survival Phrase season 2 is the only series for Southern Vietnamese.

Thank you,

Jae
