I am involved in a world-wide volunteer work, in which we knock on people's doors, and share very important information that helps to save lives. I would like to learn some basic Vietnamese, so that I can share my information with those I meet who may be Vietnamese. One of my friends is actually leaving to go live in Vietnam within a few months, and she told me that I'm always welcome to visit her there. I hope to be able to take her up on that invitation!

I am a Buddhist monk who will be traveling in Vietnam soon and wish to have some language ability. Though I am a Westerner (Caucasion), my tradition is in the Lam Te Vietnamese tradition.

Xin Chao Huyen,

My name is Brit and my mother tongue is English and I have studied French and consider myself an intermediate French speaker. i am traveling to Vietnam for the first time in February/March 2018 for a professional exchange where I expect to meet professionals in government, business, and education. I am trying to learn some basic Vietnamese in order to communicate and show respect to the people i meet.

Cam o'n for the lessons,

Brit
