So let's see what we got today.
So usually in Vietnam
It usually rains a lot in northern Vietnam and it's really sunny in northern Vietnam in February.
It usually rains a lot in northern Vietnam and it's really sunny in northern Vietnam in February.
It usually rains a lot in northern Vietnam and it's really sunny in northern Vietnam in February.
So I personally don't think that February is one of the best times that has good climate in Vietnam
because right after the holiday, usually it's very humid in the north.
Very, very, very humid.
When you want to clean the floor, the floor is going to be always wet
unless you have some kind of heater in your room.
So in Vietnam we say nôm, nôm, nôm, trời nôm.
That means the humidity is very high and it makes the floor always wet.
Trời nôm.
But on the other hand, in the south of Vietnam it's very, very hot.
Very, very hot.
Thời tiết rất nóng.
Hot weather or hot climate.
That is the common climate in Vietnam in February.
Now let's talk a little bit about holidays in February.
Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day, yes, of course, Valentine's, right?
Very big in Vietnam, I have to say
because it's a chance for Vietnamese girls to ask for gifts from their boyfriend.
Valentine is a holiday that Vietnamese girls are looking forward to.
So in Vietnamese we say Valentine, it's not Valentine's Day.
Valentine.
Valentine's Day is the holiday that Vietnamese girls are really looking forward to.
On this day, Vietnamese boyfriends will buy some flowers, some gifts for their girlfriends.
Take them out on a date, have a very romantic dinner.
Usually on Valentine's Day it's very crowded at restaurants or public places
because people hang out a lot.
Next one.
February 3rd is the founding day of Communist Party of Vietnam.
And you know in Vietnam we only have one party, right?
Which is the Communist Party and they are very powerful.
A huge majority of Vietnamese people really believe and count on the Communist Party
because we feel safe and also because we only have one party, right?
So it's not going to be a lot of fluctuation in the politics or the economy of Vietnam.
So I think that's one of the differences of Vietnamese people compared to other countries.
The birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam is like the turning point of the Vietnam Revolution.
Next one, let's talk about Vietnam Day.
February 27th is the day to honor all the people who are working in the health sector of Vietnam.
There's nothing else to talk about that because usually on this day
people who are working as doctors, nurses, and in the health sectors are honored by all Vietnamese people,
especially during the pandemic because they are significant people to our country and everywhere in the world.
So Vietnam Day.
Next one, one of the very special things about Hanoi in February, which is Hoa Ban.
You know that Hoa Ban only blooms in the north of Vietnam in very cold weather, right?
But nowadays, Hoa Ban are sent from the north of Vietnam to Hanoi.
It brings a very nice ambience and environment for Hanoi people.
We feel like we're in the north.
Ban flowers are grown a lot in some streets in Hanoi such as Hoang Dieu, Địa Nguyễn Phủ, Đường Thanh Niên, or Trần Phú.
It's light purple and it feels very light and sweet.
So visiting Hanoi, you can come to these streets to enjoy Hoa Ban in Hanoi.
When you travel to Đà Lạt in February, you will see a lot of kinds of flowers such as
So Đà Lạt is a city of flowers.
There are a lot of different kinds of flowers, but in February specifically, there will be a lot of hoa mai, hoa anh đào,
hoa cải, hoa cải trắng, hoa cải vàng as well.
Okay, so remember to visit Đà Lạt.
Now let's talk about some common fruits in February.
Vào tháng 2, bạn có thể ăn vô số các loại hoa cỏ ngon như na, đu đủ, quýt, hồng xiêm.
So that means in February, you can eat countless of delicious fruits such as na, đu đủ, quýt, hồng xiêm.
One more thing I'd like to introduce about February, which are some traditional festivals of Vietnamese people.
The first one, let's talk about a very interesting festival, which is Lễ Kén Dễ.
Lễ Kén Dễ takes place on February 2nd in lunar calendar.
So Lễ Kén Dễ happens on February 2nd lunar calendar and it describes the events that Mrs. Lê Hoa
looked for a talented person to get married because she won the enemy in the past in the history of Vietnam.
So this is a very interesting festival and it happens in Đông Anh, Hà Nội.
Next one, Lễ Hội Nginh Cô Long Hải from February 10th to February 12th.
