Hello everyone, my name is Ling. Welcome back to vietnamespod101.com.
The fastest, easiest, and most fun way to learn Vietnamese.
So we've had video about June, July, August, and today's gonna be September.
Yes, of course. Again, there will be some dishes, some places to visit,
some activities to do, and also some public holidays in September.
Let's get started.
Do you remember the trick that I taught you in the last video
about how many days are there in a month?
January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September.
So September must be 30, right? This one.
There are 30 days in September.
And September is in the end of summer and the beginning of autumn.
So what's the weather like in autumn in Vietnam?
It's not hot anymore and it's getting cooler.
So in Vietnamese, we can say
The climate in September is no longer hot and it's getting cooler.
Now let's talk a little bit about traveling.
So to be honest, traveling in September in Vietnam is good everywhere because like almost
every place is nice and the weather is super good for traveling.
So in Vietnamese, we can say
That means traveling in Vietnamese September is beautiful anywhere.
So here you see that it's like a grammar point, right?
We have that means anywhere.
So you can understand means any.
Okay means anywhere means anytime means anytime and means anyone means anyone.
Okay, so is any that means September is a
floating season in the west of Vietnam.
It's not really the west in Vietnam, but like according to the map,
Vietnam is in the S shape, right?
So the west of Vietnam actually is like down to the south of Vietnam
and it's near like cities like Can Tho, Dac Gia, Kien Giang, Ca Mau.
So we call all of them the west of Vietnam, the Delta River area.
So in September, if you visit the west of Vietnam,
you can actually visit a lot of places such as
That means you can visit the floating market,
gardens and participate in casting nets and fishing.
So those are some very typical activities when you visit the west of Vietnam.
There are floating markets where Vietnamese people trade on the boats.
On the river also, there are a lot of gardens with fresh fruits
that you can just pay for the tickets for the entrance tickets
and you can actually enjoy the food in the garden, the really fresh food.
And also you can join with the local people to go fishing on the boats on the sea
and it can be on the river as well.
So these are a lot of things that I'd like to try one day.
I've never been to the west of Vietnam.
The furthest that I've been to is probably
but I've never been to that Delta River.
So I'd love to try when the pandemic is over.
Next one, one more place that I'd like to introduce to you, which is
Next one, let's talk a little bit about public holidays in September,
which is
Next one, let's talk a little bit about public holidays in September,
which is
In Vietnamese, we can say
or you can either say
That means September 2nd is the Independence Day of Vietnam,
which is also my birthday.
Yeah, so this is not only a special day for the whole country,
but for myself as well because on September 2nd, 1945,
Ho Chi Minh president officially announced is the independent country
and it's the biggest historical event of Vietnam.
This is a very special day for myself as well.
And every time when it comes to my birthday,
there are fireworks and also it's like
of Vietnamese people.
Now, next one, let's talk a little bit about typical food in September.
So you know that September is in autumn, right?
Because I'm from Hanoi, so I'm gonna be a little bit biased towards Hanoi, okay?
So
September is Hanoi autumn.
So there will be a few typical things for Hanoi autumn such as
69
Okay, so these are very typical in Hanoi,
but when it comes to Saigon or Ho Chi Minh city
or like the south of Vietnam because it's always hot throughout the year,
it's always summer, so there is no winter or autumn like this.
However, from May to like June, July, August,
it's gonna be rainy season.
So the weather is a little bit cooler in the south of Vietnam
because it might rain suddenly anytime.
Also in September, the weather in Saigon is pretty cool
compared to the other months, okay?
Because it's hot all year.
Alright, that's it for today, guys.
