Cultural Insight
Eric: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Hoang Anh: Rảnh không? meaning “Are you free?” is an informal way to invite someone out. A pronoun can be added at the beginning to make the question softer and a little more polite. For example, Tối nay anh rảnh không? meaning “Are you free tonight?” or Bạn rảnh không? Meaning “Are you free?” Then you can suggest a place to go together. It’s used very often in daily conversation.

Outro

Eric: And that’s all for this lesson. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes, and we’ll see you in the next lesson!
Hoang Anh: Tạm biệt.
